HYDROCARBON – INFLOW

The CANTY Inflow™ is a vision-based camera system used with the CANTY Vector System image processor for water in hydrocarbons and particles in hydrocarbons in a lab environment / at-line / in-line process. The presence of these two physical contaminants is a problem for equipment the hydrocarbon is going into. The CantyVision™ Software accurately measures multiple aspects of the hydrocarbons from water / solids / gas independent of each other for accurate data. In comparison to a laser and capacitance, which measures only one dimension and can’t identify the difference of water and solids in the stream. The CantyVision™ software can identify the differences. The customer can also visually verify the readings. Hydrocarbon contamination takes place mainly in production and transportation. CANTY objectively takes the measurement and reports based on a two dimensional image. Solids & water are all measured and continuously and objectively monitored. By knowing whether there is a water or solids problem this helps the operators identify how to fix the problem. The Inflow™ is an in-line analysis system to make sure production samples are not skipped over!

DESALTER – INFLOW

The CANTY Inflow™ is a vision-based camera system used with the CANTY Vector System image processor for OiW & WiO concentration and size measurement in-line: the crude inlet, crude outlet, & effluent water. The CantyVision™ Software accurately measures multiple aspects of the OiW & WiO from oil / water / solids / gas independent of each other for accurate data. In comparison to a florescence monitor, which measures only oil and is affected by solids and gas in the stream. The CantyVision™ software can identify the differences and the customer can visually verify the readings. The Inflow™ can calibrated with the customers current lab method to make for easy instillation in the field. Determining PPM on the inlet will help optimize the desalter intake and verify what is entering the unit. Providing PPM on the outlets the desalter will benefit the effluent water side for EPA regulations as well as the crude side to increase production efficiency. The interface can be controlled through automaic sampling, instead of having to take sample test bottles. Video recording is an option for later analysis. In-line analysis makes sure production samples are not skipped over due to lack of time!

Sugar Pan – Fuseview™

The Fuseview™ eliminates the chance of glass getting into the evaporators or sugar pans by over torque of the operators. Also, it allows for the sugar pan to pull full vacuum unlike tempered glass.

CENTRIFUGE – CAMERA

CANTY’s dynamic imaging technology uses a combined camera & light system mounted to the top of the centrifuge, to provide a remote view of the process conditions in the control room. The system can also be used in conjunction with CANTYVISION image analysis software to provide important process measurements. In a continuous centrifuge, the system can track the position of the color line, allowing the operator to adjust the feed conditions to maintain a relatively stationary color line position and optimize washing efficiency. In a batch centrifuge, the system can measure the product or “cake” thickness on the basket wall during filling, and determine when the product is dry enough after spinning, to move onto the next production stage without material quality / handling issues that may be caused by high moisture content.

CENTRIFUGE – TURBIDITY MONITOR

The Canty Inflow™ is an excellent tool for controlling a centrifuge to determine percent solids & turbidity of filter breakthrough in the effluent stream, where product is being washed away. This is measured in-line in the effluent stream after the centrifuge.

CLARIFIER – TURBIDITY MONITOR

CANTY provides a direct inline color & turbidity analyzer, to analyse the fluid discharged from the clarification process, in order to determine if it is within specification. Combining CANTY’s imaging, fused glass and lighting technologies, the colour of the liquid can be analysed on a number of color scales (YUV, RGB, Lab), which can be taken as a direct measurement, or related to a specific NTU or FTU turbidity value. The image analysis software has the ability to filter out any air bubbles from the analysis, meaning only a true color / turbidity measurement is performed on the fluid.

EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE SIZING

A vessel mount system can be used for real time image capture during the production of polymer beads. The captured images are analysed by CantyVision™ software, to provide a complete bead size distribution through the complete process, allowing for greater control over final product size. SUGAR PAN – SUGARSCOPE™

Remote process monitoring is possible through the use of the CANTY SugarScope™ which allows the user to view the growth of the sugar crystals in real time. The SugarScope™ combines CANTY’S fused glass and lighting technologies to provide an unrivalled continuous view from initial seeding & nucleation, through to full crystal growth, allowing for early problem detection and increased process control. CantyVision image analysis software can also be used as an add on, allowing for particle size and shape characterization during the initial stages of crystal growth.
