BIOFILM
In pharmaceutical water systems, particularly WFI (Water for Injection) loops, biofilms pose a significant risk of contamination. Biofilms are essentially communities of microorganisms that attach to surfaces and create a protective matrix, making them difficult to remove and potentially leading to issues with product quality and safety.
