The CANTY SolidSizer™ is a vision-based sensor used with the CANTY Vector System image processor for dry sand size measurement in a laboratory environment. The CantyVision™ Software accurately measures multiple aspects of the sand from area / perimeter / minor and major axis / etc. In comparison to a sieve which measures only minor axis the CantyVision™ software can correlate directly to a sieve so the customer does not have to change any QC documents. The SolidSizer™ can correlate within 2% of a sieve. A typical sieve analysis takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes including cleaning and setup for a 70-100 gram sample. On the SolidSizer™ that same sample takes less than 2 minutes. Also multiple screen distributions can be setup to accommodate multiple customers or areas in the process, hence eliminating the need for multiple runs on the same sand for different size distributions. After correlating to current methods of minor axis, customers find benefit in comparing minor axis to major axis and making sure the sand is round instead of needle shaped. Reduce lab time and make sure production samples are not skipped over due to lack of sample time available!
• Lab Particle size down to 1µm
The CANTY UltraTemp™ is a vision-based camera system used with the CantyVision™ to monitor the flares inside an enclosed ground flare unit. The CantyVision™ software accurately measures smoking conditions as well as pilot in the flare for complete control. In comparison to thermocouples which are costly, not reliable, and monitor only one tube, a camera system can monitor multiple tubes at the same time. The CantyVision™ software can output a signal to alarm if the flare has a smoking condition over a certain time to an operator screen, PLC, or DCS for closed loop control. The system can then record video and take images according to EPA regulations. Video and images can be stored. By mounting into the ground flare wall the electronics are protected by the fused glass from the temperatures of upset conditions. The spray ring is provided to have clean instrument air passing through it to keep the lens clean and free from debris. No need for a pole where any maintenance can become a problem and very costly. By mounting in the wall, the flare camera can be accessed from the safe side of the flare wall.
A flare is used to dispose of flammable material by combustion. Ground flares can be a replacement for a single stack flare for companies. The multi-point ground flares (MPGF) need to be monitored by a camera per EPA regulations. A video camera that is capable of continuously recording (i.e., at least one frame every 15 secs with time and date stamps) images of the flare flame.
CANTY manufactures analyzers designed for the measurement of TSS in Brine Completion fluid. Not only does this save significant time and money by eliminating the need to run samples in the lab, but it also provides the particle size and shape distributions of the drilling mud particles being cleaned out.
Canty has over 30 years in the chemical industry, and that experience has allowed Canty to supply the Adhesives & Resin industry many different applications. To include explosion proof Class 1, Division 1 vessel cameras, and our outstanding Fuseview sight glasses. Other applications include gel detection and color analysis of the finished product.
Canty has many products that can handle needed applications with in the Semiconductor and Solar Cell industry. In the manufacturing of semi-conductors and solar photovoltaic cells the first stage involves the production of high purity wafer material. To produce the wafer material it is common to first vaporize silicon gas followed by depositing the silicon as a rod or fine particle. The Canty product line can help silicon manufactures understanding the shape, size, color, and surface texture of the final product.
