	CENTRIFUGE CAMERA CONTROL
A camera light combination system is mounted to the centrifuge using the CANTY angled mounting plate. This allows for continuous monitoring from the control room, of initial product filling, the various washing and spinning cycles, and product discharge, therefore enabling greater operator control and efficient identification of any process issues. In the control room, the Vector™ image processing computer will analyze this view and provide a 4-20mA or OPC output of fill level, filtering level, and a separate cake (solids) detection signal. The level control allows for consistent batching to the centrifuge. The cake detection 4-20mA or OPC output signal provides for immediate detection of solids, which prevent the cake from cracking. This means higher product yield due to fewer washes, and ultimately better product quality.

	SPRAY DRYING
CANTY Spray Dryer Monitoring Systems are vision based, industrial camera / light combinations used to view spray nozzle patterns in real time. This allows operators to see changes in the profile of the spray pattern, and detect clogging before it becomes a problem. Operators can easily view for product build-up before there is a chance for fire. This Vision System can be automated by the CANTY Vector™ Image Processor to measure the size and shape of the spray pattern profile. 4-2mA or OPC alarms can then be sent to the control system if nozzles clog or the spray pattern changes.

	LAB – SOLIDSIZER
The CANTY SolidSizer™ is a vision-based sensor used with the CANTY Vector System image processor for dry particle size measurement in a laboratory environment. The CantyVision™ Software accurately measures multiple aspects of the particles from area / perimeter / minor and major axis / etc. In comparison to a sieve which measures only minor axis the CantyVision™ software can correlate directly to a sieve so the customer does not have to change any QC documents. The SolidSizer™ can correlate within 2% of a sieve. A typical sieve analysis takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes including cleaning and setup for a 70-100 gram sample. On the SolidSizer™ that same sample takes less than 2 minutes. Also multiple screen distributions can be setup to accommodate multiple customers or areas in the process, hence eliminating the need for multiple runs on the same sand for different size distributions. After correlating to current methods of minor axis, customers find benefit in comparing minor axis to major axis and comparing shape factors. Reduce lab time and make sure production samples are not skipped over due to lack of sample time available!

	WFI – INFLOW™
The Canty Inflow™ is designed to be installed in-line to monitor WFI so the manufacture can have longer run times and can verify constant compliance with the USP. CANTY can output the particle concentration continuously so that if an upset does occur the operators are aware of it and take samples to the lab for further testing. What’s more, CANTY’s unique vision-based system allows for differentiation between particles and gas bubbles. Visual verification is provided and 4-20mA signals or OPC can be used to alarm to an upset condition.

	WFI – WATER FOR INJECTION
In Water for Injection (WFI) or Sterile Water applications, it is vital to measure and quantify the amount of foreign particles such as solids, rouge, droplets, or biofilm in a given volume to ensure the product meets certain purification standards. USP 788 / 1788 is the accepted set of guidelines for testing and concentration limits for particulate matter in injectables.
The CANTY InFlow™ analyzer utilizes dynamic imaging technology that measures the solids, droplets, gas, and any foreign materials, passing through an inline flow cell. Analyzing these particles continuously produces particle count and concentration data which can better inform decisions for downstream purification or upstream process control, as well as ensuring guideline compliance.

	BIOFILM
In pharmaceutical water systems, particularly WFI (Water for Injection) loops, biofilms pose a significant risk of contamination. Biofilms are essentially communities of microorganisms that attach to surfaces and create a protective matrix, making them difficult to remove and potentially leading to issues with product quality and safety. The CANTY INFLOW™ monitors water quality through particle analysis which is necessary to identify those microorganisms and address potential issues early on.

	ROUGING
Rouging in WFI (Water for Injection) systems refers to the formation of reddish-brown to dark violet iron deposits on the interior surfaces of stainless steel equipment, particularly in pharmaceutical and biotech industries. This phenomenon is a type of corrosion and is primarily caused by the oxidation of iron in the stainless steel, especially in the presence of hot WFI (above 60°C). Rouge can detach from the surfaces and contaminate the WFI, potentially affecting the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products. The CANTY InFlow™ detects these particles in real time, quantifying the amount of rouge being generated, providing an objective measure of system performance.
